For our ion exchange system we offer ion exchange cartridges with fillings from 10 litres resin up to 250 litres resin.

With our service regeneration we offer an economic-priced, fully developed technology. A 2-shift operated recirculation system with a flow rate of 1.5 m/h saves expenses for fresh water of approx. 30,000 per year.

The ion exchange systems are used for

The transportation of the ion exchange cartridges to our central regeneration plant in D-92348 Berg can be carried out by our pick-up / delivery service or by a forwarding agency. For this we offer special transportation boxes.

Application of selective ion exchange units

  • selective removal of heavy metals such as copper, nickel, zinc, lead, cobalt, cadmium, mercury, chrome, etc downstream to waste-water treatment units, ultra- and micro-filtration units, heavy-metal loaded rinses.

  • Selective removal of heavy metals or Cyanides in groundwater remediation

  • Reclaim of precious metals such as Gold, Palladium, Platinum

Description

The rinsing or waste water is fed into a storage tank. A level controlled pump delivers the rinsing or waste water over a filter (e.g. multi-layer filter), a non-return valve and a flow meter through the ion exchange cartridges.
After having removed loaded ion exchange cartridges ion exchange the security cartridges move up and fresh regenerated cartridges are added at the end of the sequence.

Example of use: Subsequent cleaning to remove the rest of solid and dissolved metals

Example: Waste water: 10 m/day
Concentration of dissolved metals: 4 mg/l Ni, 3 mg/l Cu, 1 mg/l Cd

With a selective ion exchange unit with selective resin waste water values of each 0.1 mg/l can be reached. A cartridge with 30 litres of selective resin is loaded after approx. 125 m waste water = 2.5 weeks until regeneration.

The continuous function of the Decker ion exchange units is backed by the regeneration of loaded ion exchange cartidges.
